Stahlbau Nord has reached an important milestone in the project for the lock gate system in Emden. The first 80 tons of steel panels for the reserve gate were successfully loaded from BVT Bremen to Stahlbau Nord in Bremerhaven.
A total of five shipments are planned, comprising eight sections. Each shipment takes place two to three weeks in advance. After arrival, the panels are further processed at Stahlbau Nord in Bremerhaven. Stahlbau Nord thus successfully relies on efficient processes in the implementation of demanding steel construction projects.
